Nationality
Indian citizen, or eligible subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugee (pre-01.01.1962), or PIO migrated from specified countries with GoI eligibility certificate.
Age Limit
- 21–30 years (born between Sep 02, 1995 and Sep 01, 2004).
- Relaxations: SC/ST: +5 yrs, OBC (NCL): +3 yrs, PwBD: +10/13/15 yrs (Gen/OBC/SC-ST), MPhil/PhD (DEPR/DSIM): up to 32/34, others as per notice.
Educational Qualifications
Grade B (DR) – General
- Graduate (min 60%, 50% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR Post-graduate (min 55%, pass for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Recognised 3-yr (UG) / 2-yr (PG) programs; Govt-recognised professional equivalents accepted.
Grade B (DR) – DEPR
- MA/MSc in Economics (incl. Quant/Mathematical/Applied/Econometrics/Financial/Business/Agricultural/Industrial/Development/International Economics) OR
- MA/MSc in Finance (incl. Quant/Mathematical/International/Business/Corporate/Project & Infra/Agri Business Finance, etc.).
- Min 55% (Gen/OBC/EWS), 50% (SC/ST/PwBD). PhD desirable.
Grade B (DR) – DSIM
- Master’s (55%) in Statistics/Maths/Econometrics/Quantitative Economics/Informatics OR
- Master’s (55%) in Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data OR
- 4-yr Bachelor’s (60%) in the above areas.
- PhD / research/teaching preferred.
Note on CGPA: If conversion norms exist, use them; otherwise, 6.75/10=60%, 6.25/10=55%, 5.75/10=50%.
Number of Attempts (General cadre)
- Gen/EWS: max six attempts in Phase-I (historical).
- No cap for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD (if posts reserved for them).

Selection Process & Exam Pattern (Snapshot)
Two phases + Interview (online/written as applicable).
- General: Phase-I (objective), Phase-II (Papers I–III), Interview.
- DEPR/DSIM: Phase-I (two/one papers), Phase-II (two/remaining papers online/written), Interview.
- Candidates must appear in all papers/shifts relevant to their cadre.

RBI Grade B Recruitment How to Apply (Online)
- Visit rbi.org.in → Opportunities@RBI (Recruitment for Grade B 2025).
- Register with a valid email & mobile; note your Registration ID.
- Complete the form: personal, academic, category, cadre choice (General / DEPR / DSIM).
- Upload photo, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per specs.
- Indicate scribe/compensatory time (PwBD), exam medium & centres.
- Pay fee online and submit.
- After closure, an Edit Window (2 days) will open for limited fields (Exam Centre, Medium, Parents’ Names, Class 10/12 %).
- Download Admit Card from the website before exam.
Documents to keep ready: Photo ID (PAN/Passport/DL/Voter/Bank passbook/College ID/Aadhaar), caste/ EWS/ OBC-NCL (valid as per dates), PwBD certificate, academic mark sheets/certificates.
