Coastal Security Police Recruitment Educational Qualifications
1. Motor Launch Engineer (Police Inspector grade)
- Retired Navy/Coast Guard: Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- Retired BSF (Water Wing):
- Matriculation from a recognized board.
- Licensed First Class Engine Driver or Motor Engineer certificate or equivalent, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering from a recognized University.
- Re-Recruitment Candidates:
- At least one year of experience as a Motor Launch Engineer.
- OR 5 years of experience as a Boat Captain with a second-class Engine Driver certificate.
- OR 10 years of experience as an MLM (Motor Launch Mechanic) with a second-class Engine Driver certificate.
2. Boat Captain (Police Sub Inspector grade)
- Retired Navy/Coast Guard: Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- Retired BSF (Water Wing):
- Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- First Class Master Certificate issued by the Mercantile Marine Department or State Inland Water Transport Corporation.
- Re-Recruitment Candidates:
- At least one year of experience as a Boat Captain.
- OR 5 years of experience as an Assistant Boat Captain with a second-class Serang certificate.
- OR 10 years of experience as an MLM with a second-class Serang certificate.
3. Assistant Boat Captain (Assistant Sub Inspector grade)
- Retired Navy/Coast Guard: Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- Retired BSF (Water Wing):
- Matriculation from a recognized board.
- First Class Master Certificate issued by the Mercantile Marine Department or State Inland Water Transport Corporation.
- Re-Recruitment Candidates:
- At least one year of experience as an Assistant Boat Captain.
- OR 5 years of experience as an Engine Driver with a second-class Serang certificate.
- OR 10 years of experience as a Khalasi with a second-class Serang certificate.
4. Motor Launch Mechanic (Assistant Sub Inspector grade)
- Retired Navy/Coast Guard: Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- Retired BSF (Water Wing):
- Matriculation from a recognized board.
- Second Class Engine Driver Certificate OR a 3-year diploma in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, or Electronic engineering from a recognized institution.
- Re-Recruitment Candidates:
- At least one year of experience as an MLM.
- OR 5 years of experience as an Engine Driver with a second-class Serang certificate.
5. Engine Driver (Head Constable grade)
- Retired Navy/Coast Guard: Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- Retired BSF (Water Wing):
- Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- Second Class Engine Driver Certificate OR an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine), Machinist, Welder, Carpentry, Electrician, Fitter, Air Conditioner Technician, Electronics, Plumbing, Upholstering, or Painting.
- Re-Recruitment Candidates:
- At least one year of experience as an Engine Driver.
- OR 5 years of experience as a Khalasi with a second-class Engine Driver certificate.
6. Khalasi (Police Constable grade)
- Retired Navy/Coast Guard: Matriculation from a recognized board(10th grade).
- Retired BSF (Water Wing):
- Matriculation from a recognized board.
- Re-Recruitment Candidates: At least one year of experience as a Khalasi.

Coastal Security Police Recruitment How to Apply
- Submission Method: You must submit the certified and attested documents along with the prescribed application proforma. The university only accepts the hard copy of the application form.
- Where to Submit: The application must be submitted to the Superintendent of Police, Coastal Security Police, Udupi, and Member Secretary to the Special Recruitment Committee for Technical posts, Malpe, Udupi.
- Deadline: The application must be submitted on or before September 30, 2025, by 4:30 PM.
Coastal Security Police Recruitment Selection Process
- The eligible candidates will be selected through an interview conducted by a special recruitment committee for technical posts.
- The date and place of the interview will be announced separately.
- Previous application consideration: Applications received before August 14, 2025, will be considered as per the new notification (with the exception of in-service technical staff).
