Educational Qualification – Army DG EME Group C Recruitment
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 12th pass + Typing speed (35 wpm English / 30 wpm Hindi).
- Fireman / Tradesman Mate / Washerman / Cook: 10th pass (Matriculation).
- Storekeeper: 12th pass.

Important Notes
- The ₹5,200 – 20,200 figure you noticed is this old PB-1 scale.
- After 7th CPC, these were migrated into the Pay Matrix Levels:
- GP ₹1,800 → Level 1 (₹18,000 – 56,900)
- GP ₹1,900 → Level 2 (₹19,900 – 63,200)
- GP ₹2,400 → Level 4 (₹25,500 – 81,100)
- Allowances (DA, HRA, TA) were extra even in 6th CPC, but amounts were lower compared to today’s 7th CPC.

- Written Examination (OMR Based):
- Subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, General English, Numerical Aptitude, Trade-Specific Questions.
- Total Questions: 150 (Objective, MCQ format).
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Duration: 2 Hours.
