Karnataka Biodiversity Board Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
To apply for empanelment, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Mandatory Registration: Must be registered with the Bar Council and hold a valid license to practice.
- Experience Preference: Advocates with experience in environmental and biodiversity-related laws will be given preference.
- Government Experience: Lawyers already working with Government Boards, Corporations, or Departments, and those who have served as Government Advocates earlier, may also apply.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Representing KBB in Magistrate Courts, District Courts, Sessions Courts, and the High Court of Karnataka.
- Attending all hearings without delegation and submitting regular updates to the Board.
- Coordinating with authorized officers of the Board as required.
- Submitting monthly progress reports on cases.
- Maintaining confidentiality and avoiding any conflict of interest by not appearing against KBB in any court.
Karnataka Biodiversity Board Recruitment Fee Structure
- The remuneration will be paid as per the rates approved by the Karnataka Biodiversity Board and the Law Department of Government of Karnataka.
- No retainer fee will be paid. Advocates will be compensated based on actual case handling, drafting, and hearing work.
- If a case is disposed of at an early stage, partial fees (50%) will be applicable as per norms.

- Bar Association / Bar Council Identity Card.
- Proof of empanelment with other Boards/Departments (if any).
- Educational Qualification Certificates.
- Experience details and case records handled earlier.

- Income Tax Returns for the last five years (if applicable).
